Organizer

The contest is organized by 9281-7378 Québec inc. (Alterfina), hereinafter referred to as the "Organizer" or the "Contest Organizer."

Eligibility

The contest is open to residents of Quebec who have reached the age of majority as of the date of participation.

Excluded are: directors, officers, executives, employees, agents, and representatives of the Organizer, Meta (including Facebook and Instagram), advertising and promotional agencies, prize suppliers, and service providers in connection with this contest, as well as persons with whom they reside (whether or not related).

Participation

Participation in the contest is voluntary. Your consent is requested at the end of the entry form. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

During the Contest Period, an eligible person may enter by submitting the entry form, accessible online via the http://alterfina.ca/en/contest/ website (hereinafter the "Website"), on our social network contest publications (Facebook and Instagram) or our customer newsletter. An eligible person will automatically obtain one (1) entry by completing and submitting the entry form and one (1) additional chance by subscribing to our Facebook or Instagram pages.

The draw will be made from entries received during the eligible Contest Period. Participation is valid only for the current week.

You don't need to have an active credit facility with us to participate.

Limits

Participants must adhere to the following limits, failing which they will be disqualified:

• One (1) entry per person per week, whether you are a customer of Alterfina or not. An eligible person will automatically receive one (1) additional entry for the current week by subscribing to our Facebook or Instagram pages.
• One (1) prize per person per household each week.

The Contest will take place during the following period (the “Contest Period”):

Description of Prize and Value

The prizes available to be won and their approximate retail value are as follows:

Conditions Applicable to the Prizes

The prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of the prize provider. Additional restrictions may apply. The Organizer has no responsibility with respect to the prize once awarded.

• Each gift card is valued in Canadian dollars.
• The winner is responsible for claiming his/her prize.
• The use of the gift card is subject to the general terms and conditions printed on the back of the card.
• At each use, the transaction amount is deducted from the card, and the balance is retained until the next use or until the balance reaches $0.
• At each use of your gift card is used, the balance is recordedindicated on the transaction receipt.
• The gift card has no expiration date, and there is no time limit to use it after the first transaction.
• The Contest Organizer cannot be held responsible for loss, theft, or unauthorized use of the card. In the event of any of these situations, your balance will not be refunded.

Draws

Weekly draws will take place via the ShortStack platform under the supervision of the Organizer on the dates indicated below. In each of these twelve (12) weekly draws, one (1) entry will be randomly selected electronically for a weekly prize from all entries received during the contest week in question (as described in the table below).

Winner and prize

To be declared a winner, the selected participant must:

• a) Be reached by email or the social media account used to participate (if applicable), at the sole discretion of the Organizer, within two (2) days following the draw. Any participant who cannot be contacted following appropriate and reasonable efforts made by the Organizer during this period will be disqualified, and a new draw will be conducted to award the prize. In the event a selected participant was contacted by email, they must respond by complying with the instructions provided therein, if applicable. Any notification email returned as undeliverable will result in the disqualification of the participant, and the selection of a new participant if they cannot be reached otherwise ;
• b) Consent to the disclosure of their city name to the Sponsor/Prize Provider and its use without compensation by the Contest Organizer or the Sponsor/Prize Provider for promotional and other contest-related purposes ;
• c) Sign the Declaration and Release Form provided by the Organizer and return it to the Organizer within two (2) days of the date of receipt ;
• d) Have correctly answered, without any assistance whatsoever, including mechanical assistance, the mathematical skill-testing question.

Failure to comply with any of the conditions stated in these rules or to accept the prize will result in disqualification of the selected participant. In such case, the Organizer may, at its discretion, cancel the prize or conduct a new draw from the remaining eligible entries until a participant is selected and declared a winner.

The selected participant will receive their prize by mail within a maximum period of four (4) weeks following the receipt of the declaration form by the contest Organizer.

Refusal to accept a prize

The refusal of a selected entrant's refusalparticipant to accept a prize under the terms of these rules releases the Organizer from any obligation related to thisthat prize towards thisthat person.

Awarding of prizes

No prize will be awarded until the winner has been confirmed. Prizes are not transferable and must be accepted as awarded, without cash substitution or otherwise, except at the sole discretion of the Organizer. The Organizer reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) of equal or greater value, or, at its sole discretion, the monetary value of the prize (or portion thereof) as stated in these rules.

Claiming Prize Expenses

Winners are responsible for all costs or expenses incurred by the winners regarding the claiming or use of a prize.

Limited Prizes

In all cases, the Organizer shall not be obligated to award more prizes or to award a prize otherwise than in accordance with these rules.

Additional Information

Disqualification:

All documents and information related to the contest, including but not limited to, among others, entry forms and Declaration and Release Forms, are subject to verification by the Organizer. Entries containingwith printing or other errors will not be accepted, nor will entries that are or otherwise incomplete, fraudulent, or have been tampered with, alteredmodified, falsified, reproduced, or obtained illegally obtained. Entrantswill not be eligible. Participants who fail todo not comply with these rules may be excluded from this contest and any futureother contests or promotions held by the Organizer, in particularthe future, particularly if they are found guilty or suspected of:

1. (i) Tampering with the sendingsubmission of entry requests, theentries, processing of entries, the runningconduct of the contest, or any other technical or mechanical element of the contest;
2. (ii) Deliberately damaging the websites, web pages, and applications related to this contest or sabotaging the legitimate runningconduct of the contest;
3. (iii) Violation of these rules;
4. (iv) Using means contrary to these rules or unfair to other participants ;
5. (v) Registering beyond the authorized limit specified in these rules ;
6. (vi) Using multiple names, identities, email addresses, accounts, or other automated systems and programs, macros, scripts, robotic devices, or others to register or participate in the contest ;
7. (vii) Disrupting the conduct of the contest in any other manner ;
8. (viii) Acting unfairly, with intent to harm or with the intention of annoying, tormenting, threateningto bother, torment, threaten, or harassingharass another person.

ANY PARTICIPANT OR OTHER PERSON WHO DELIBERATELY DAMAGES A WEBSITE, EQUIPMENT, APPLICATION, OR TECHNOLOGY USED IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONTEST OR INTERFERES WITH THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST COMMITS A CRIMINAL OFFENSE AND A CIVIL WRONG. THE ORGANIZER RESERVES, IF NECESSARY, THE RIGHT TO REPORT THIS PERSON TO THE JUDICIAL AUTHORITIES AND TO DEMAND FROM THIS PERSON ALL DAMAGES AND COMPENSATION ALLOWED BY LAW.

Declaration and Waiver Form:

By participating or attempting to participate in this contest, the selected participant for a prize releases the Organizer or any other legal entity controlled by or affiliated with them, the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux, Facebook and Instagram, advertising and promotional agencies, and prize, goods, and service providers involved in the contest, as well as all their respective directors, officers, owners, associates, employees, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns (collectively the "Waiver Beneficiaries") from any damages and liability relating to the contest (participation, operation, advertisement, regulations, etc.) or the prize (claim, use, etc.).

To be declared winners, selected participants will be required to sign the Declaration and Waiver Form containing a statement of compliance with the contest rules and confirming this waiver of liability in favor of the Waiver Beneficiaries.

Limitation of Liability:

Without limiting the generality of the waiver above, the Waiver Beneficiaries disclaim any liability for:

1. (i) Typographical (or other) errors contained in the offer or documents related to the administration of the contest, including, without limitation, errors contained in advertising, the official rules, winner announcement, prize allocation, or with malfunctions, technical problems, or difficulties experienced with networks, phone lines, SMS messaging systems, computer components, software, or communication lines, regarding network loss or absence of communication, or regarding failed, incomplete, incomprehensible, or computer-erased transmissions by computer, server, service provider, or other software, virus, computer bug, personal computer failure, or software and hardware configuration, or failed attempt to transmit email or other communication to the Organizer or a participant for any reason, including network congestion or site failure that may limit a person's ability to participate in the contest ;
2. (ii) A late, lost, stolen, delayed, unreceived, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, or inaccurate entry ;
3. (iii) Failure to receive entries due to transmission problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of a network, server, access provider, hardware, or software, attributable to both the sender and the recipient, which may limit a person's ability to participate in the contest or prevent it ;
4. (iv) Damage that may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, including to the participant's or another person's system or device, by downloading a web page, software, or other information and by transmitting information about the contest.

Website:

The Organizer does not guarantee in any way that the contest website https://alterfina.ca/en/contest/or any other platform used for this contest will be accessible or functional without interruption during the Contest Period or that they will be error-free.

Facebook and Instagram:

By registering, contest participants confirm that they indemnify Facebook and Instagram and hold the Organizer harmless against any liability or claim for damages arising from their participation in the contest and acknowledge that the contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Facebook or Instagram, or associated with them. Information provided by participants is intended for the Organizer and not for Facebook/Instagram.

Social Media or Other Platforms Used for this Contest, as well as their parent companies, affiliates, directors, officers, agents, consultants, volunteers, and respective employees disclaim any liability for damages, compensatory damages, direct, indirect, consequential, or other damages that may be caused by participation in the Contest or the downloading of any information related to the Contest or resulting from it in any way.

You agree that in your use of social media or other platforms for this Contest - including, but not limited to, chat areas and registration and use of social media accounts, usernames, or group names - you will not use obscene, defamatory, or abusive language, infringe on any third party's trademark or trade name, or violate any other intellectual property rights or rights to privacy.

When the Contest rules allow the use of a social media such as Facebook or any other social network to participate, participants are informed that the social media and each of its managers and agents assume no responsibility, whatsoever, in connection with the conduct of the Contest. However, by participating via social media, all rules governing the use of that platform apply.

Cancellation, Suspension, or Modification of the Contest:

The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend, in whole or in part, this contest in the event of human intervention or an event that disrupts its proper conduct, such as a computer system difficulty in recording all entries, which may alter or influence the administration, security, impartiality, or conduct of the contest as provided for in these rules.

End of Participation in the Contest:

In the event the contest should end in whole or in part before the end of the Contest Period, the draw may be made, at the Organizer's discretion, from among the eligible entries duly registered during the Contest Period or, if applicable, up to the date of the event that ended it.

Personal information:

By participating in the contest, participants consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information by the Organizer and the Sponsor/Provider or their authorized agents for the purpose of administering the contest and awarding prizes. By providing your personal information, you expressly consent to the privacy policy available at https://alterfina.ca/confidentialite/#Pour-nous-joindre. The Organizer is not responsible for the privacy policies of the Sponsor/Prize Provider or its representatives. By accepting a prize, the winner authorizes the Organizer and its representatives to use the name of their city for advertising purposes on the Internet, without further notice and without any form of compensation. Any participant may be required to sign a confirmation to this effect.

Ownership:

The Declaration and Waiver Forms, technical, technological, or operational information, and information relating to drawings, computer systems, software, logos, trademarks, and intellectual property remain the exclusive property of the Organizer. None of this information and documents will be returned to participants.

Participant identification:

For the purposes of these rules, the participant is the person whose name appears on the entry form, and it is to this person that the prize will be awarded if selected and declared a winner. If a dispute arises regarding the identification of the author of an entry form, it will be considered to have been sent by the authorized account holder associated with the email address provided at the time of entry. The "authorized account holder of the account" means the individual to whom an email address is assigned by an Internet access provider or online service, or another company assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.

Organizer's decisions:

Any decision by the Organizer or its representatives regarding this contest is final and binding, subject to a decision by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec on a matter within its jurisdiction.

Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux:

The Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec is in no way bound by the contest and cannot be held responsible in any way for any issues related to the contest.

Miscellaneous:

By participating in the contest, participants agree to be bound by these contest rules and the decisions of the Organizer, which are final and binding in all respects, including, but not limited to, decisions regarding the eligibility or disqualification of entries and the awarding of prizes. The contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations. Only selected participants will be contacted. If any paragraph of these rules is declared illegal or unenforceable by a competent court, then that paragraph shall be deemed void, but all other paragraphs shall remain applicable.

In the event of a conflict between the terms of the contest rules in French and those of the contest rules in English, the French version shall prevail. . In the event of any conflict between the terms of the French and English contest rules, the French version shall prevail.
